Join Madison Children’s Museum for an annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Thursday, October 10, 5–8 pm. Enjoy a free evening of music, food, arts activities, cultural performances, and playful programs representing Latinx traditions across the world. Performances - Duo Pukra, music from Peru, 5:30 pm, Wonderground - Dance performance by Waritas de Bolivia in the Wildernest, 5:45 pm - Dance and music by Ballet Folklórico de Maria Diaz in the Wildernest, 6:00 pm - Music performance by Angela Puerta and friends in the Wonderground, 6:30 pm Activities - Fresh salsa and chips, 5 pm–6 pm on the Rooftop Ramble - Free samples from local restaurant La Taguara (while supplies last), lobby/cafe - Scavenger hunt throughout the museum - Sugar skull craft with Mariposa Learning Center, 5–7 pm in the Art Studio - Flags of Latin America craft, 5 pm–7:30 pm in the Art Studio classroom - Maraca making with Play and Learn, 5:30–7:30 pm in the Art Studio - Monarch mariposas growth and migration in Mexico craft, 5:30–7:30 pm in Celebrations Room - Papel picado craft, 5–8 pm in the Art Studio - Scavenger hunt, 5–8 pm, throughout the museum
