The goal of Junior Anglers is to teach kids what they need to know so they can fish independently. Participants will learn the difference between conventional and fly fishing, knots, the anatomy of a hook, the anatomy of a rod and reel, and how to land and handle a fish. Junior Anglers I is designed for ages 6-8, and Junior Anglers II is designed for ages 9-12. We can facilitate siblings into 1 workshop if they are in different age groups, by request. There will be two 1-hour workshops: 10:00 - 11:00 AM: Junior Anglers I (Ages 6-8) (can extend to younger ages by request!) | Maximum 5 participants | Parent attendance optional 11:30 - 12:30 PM: Junior Anglers II (Ages 9-12) (can extend to older ages by request!) | Maximum 6 participants | Parent attendance not required Parents can stay later and attend the Adult Intro to Fly Fishing workshop beginning at 1:00 PM!

Blue Skiff Fly Fishing aims to make the art of fly fishing more accessible to all who want to explore it. We do this through guided excursions for both novice and experienced anglers, group workshops for children & adults, and private fly fishing and casting lessons. Parents can stay later and attend the Adult Intro to Fly Fishing workshop beginning at 1:00 PM!
