(Parents, grandparents, nannies and their kids ages 0-5) What: Enjoy a morning coffee, tea, snack, or ice cream with old and new friends while watching your children have fun and socialize in an enclosed nature-themed play space with toys, books, and activities! When you're recharged, head outside to explore, play, and make memories in nature together. The first event will be a Pop-Up Play Cafe (featuring stories, games, toys, and nature-themed and age-appropriate activities) held Mondays at The Creekside Scoop in Cross Plains (in the same building as Crossroads Coffeehouse), which is within walking distance to the Ice Age Trail (and Ice Age Trail Alliance headquarters), several parks, and the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library. Playful Acorns will soon be partnering with local experts to offer play-based and nature-inspired music, movement, stories, art, and outdoor exploration in the Madison and Dane County area. There will also be opportunities for caregivers (parents, grandparents, nannies, etc) to enjoy coffee and chat, co-work, meal plan, and learn about resources geared toward families -- all while their kids (ages 0-5) play and socialize in a safe and fun environment. While we search for a place to put down roots, we'll be collaborating with other organizations and parks to host meetups -- potentially near you!
