Camp Shalom, a program of the Jewish Federation of Madison, is an inclusive summer day camp for children and teens, guided by Jewish values, that fosters personal development, friendship, and community. Led by experienced and nurturing staff on over 154 picturesque acres at the beautiful Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Jewish Community Campus in Verona, campers of all faiths, ethnicities, and abilities safely play and learn through a variety of engaging and innovative activities, including aquatic, sports, arts and crafts, nature, Jewish enrichment, and team building.
Camp Shalom was established in 1954 and is the oldest and largest day camp in Dane County, serving over 1000 children throughout the summer. Camp Shalom offers three sessions for campers going into Kindergarten - 5th grade. Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim (NOBO) offers two sessions for campers entering 6th - 9th grade. Our scholarship fund, providing full and partial scholarships, ensures we have never had to deny a child a summer camp experience because of financial need.
