10 Freebies You Can Get on a Trip to Walt Disney World

By By Maeghan Nicholson, Travel Agent February 15, 2025

Who says nothing in life is free? Here are 10 items you can get on a trip to Walt Disney World. Be sure to grab them all to make the most of your Disney vacation!

  1. Luggage Tags. You can get these free character-themed luggage tags from the front desk when you check in for your Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room and tickets.
  1. Ice Water. The Florida heat and humidity can be brutal so it’s important to stay hydrated. Any quick service restaurant in Walt Disney World parks or resorts will give you a cup of ice water for free. If you bring your own cup or water bottle, there are also water fountains and bottle refill stations throughout the property.
  1. Celebration Buttons. You can get a free button at your hotel front desk or at the front gates of any park. They have buttons that celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or anything you want to celebrate. Remember you can celebrate your birthday 6 months before and 6 months after the actual date! They also have celebration buttons on Disney Cruise Line at the Guest Services desk.
  1. A Wilderness Explorer Handbook. You can get this booklet in Animal Kingdom and complete learning activities and scavenger hunts to earn your Wilderness Explorer “badges” (which are stickers to go in the book) along the way.
  1. Mini-Golf. Every Walt Disney World travel package (room and tickets) comes with a free round of mini-golf. This is a great activity for a day off from the parks. There are two courses: Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland (pictured here).
  1. Coca-Cola Samples. At Club Cool in Epcot you can try a lot of exotic Coca-Cola soda flavors for free at a self-serve soda fountain with small paper cups. The flavors are from different countries from around the world. Beware the Beverly flavor as it is bitter!
  1. Treasure Maps and Trading Cards. In Magic Kingdom you can get free treasure maps for "A Pirate's Adventure - Treasures of the Seven Seas" which is a scavenger hunt using Magic bands. There are 5 different adventures to try! After each adventure is completed you get a trading card, after you complete all 5, you get a 6th card from Captain Jack Sparrow.
  1. Water Park Ticket. All Walt Disney World room + tickets packages in 2025 come with a free waterpark ticket for your arrival day! Disney has two waterparks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, and they’re both a great way to cool off on a hot day.
  1. Magical Extras. The "Magical Extras" are discounts at certain restaurants and shops at the Disney Springs outdoor mall. Including 10% off at the LEGO store. See all the discounts you can get at DisneyWorld.com/MagicalExtras.
  1. A Travel Agent - Me!

All my concierge travel planning services are completely free to you when you book with me. My pricing is the same as booking with Disney directly, but you'll get my expert help every step of the way. That means you'll never have to wait a minute on a phone hold, can ask a million questions, I'll monitor your reservation for discounts, and you can sleep in while I book your dining reservations at 5am.

Hopefully this list of 10 freebies I've shared shows you what an asset having a travel agent on your side can be!
