Celebrate "I Love to Read Month" in Madison

February is a fun-filled month, and there’s much to celebrate from Valentine’s Day to President’s Day to Groundhog Day. February marks the start of “I Love to Read Month”, a month where kids and adults alike can dive into their love of reading, hear new stories, and explore new, fictional worlds. 

There are so many ways to foster your passion for reading, whether it’s checking out your local library or curling up with a good book from the comfort of your own home, celebrate your love for reading this February!


Scoops & Stories

Listen to a story and enjoy $1 scoops of ice cream! Head to Grand Crossing Park on Monday, February 3rd at 10:30 am. 


Read, Play, Write, Create

Madison Public Library is encouraging children to read all winter long! Kids and families can visit any Madison Public Library location and find exciting play materials, reading buddies, scavenger hunts, and more thanks to the winter “WE READ” campaign. 


Dream Bus

The bus is driving around Madison all month long! Visitors to the bus can apply for a library card, browse books, and check out or return books.


Madison Reading Project

The Madison Reading Project has donated over 130,000 books to classrooms and families in need just in 2024! Consider donating your gently used books so other children can enjoy them and foster their love for reading!
