Holiday lights/hayrides, parks alive indoors & out, circus and more performances, 1st indoor market

Every week, Macaroni KID Madison highlights free/low-cost ideas to do with kids in the Madison area in addition to the events in our newsletter. Click the links for all the details. 

  1. Holiday Lights @ Olin. The Holiday lights are up at Olin park through December, and this weekend Madison parks is offering hayrides both Saturday and Sunday through the lights.
  2. Parks Alive. Not just for summer - Madison parks have fun and free community activities (indoors), and free food at Allied Park Monday, Warner Park Thursday, and Elver next Monday.
  3. Parks - outdoors. It isn't too cold (yet) - so get outside to learn about animal tracks and crafts Thursday at the MacKenzie Center, search for creatures under a full moon Friday in Mt. Horeb, and learn how animals prepare for winter Sunday in the Arboretum.
  4. New Circus Performers. See the new performers show Friday or Saturday at Madison Circus Space on a sliding scale ticket pricing. Plus you can join see Seussical in Sun Prairie, Sponge Bob in Verona, and join the performance with the Big Sing  At MyArts Saturday morning
  5. Indoor Farmer's Market. Also Saturday - head to the Monona Terrace for the first holiday market with 60+ vendors. Plenty of space to explore, escalators and elevators to ride, and great views in addition to
