Every week, Macaroni KID Madison highlights free/low-cost ideas to do with kids in the Madison area in addition to the events in our newsletter. Click the links for all the details.

  1. Sun Prairie Corn Fest. Five days of fun - a parade Wednesday, carnival wristband nights Thursday/Friday, and of course the corn and kids activities Saturday/Sunday.
  2. National Night out - part 3. Celebrate a safe community with free fun Tuesday in Monona and Wednesday in Fitchburg with games, big vehicles/helicopters, free food and more.
  3. Kids in the Rotunda Launch Party.  Thursday at the Madison Children's Museum, come for a free night and scavenger hunt, along with special guests to discover who will be performing at this year's KITR at the Overture Center - one of our favorite Saturday school-year traditions.
  4. Special nights at the pool. It's teen night at the Middleton Pool Tuesday, adaptive swim night with MSCR Friday at the Goodman Pool, and swim and stay for the movie Friday in Monona.
  5. Lil Badger Consignment Sale. Cooler weather means time to stock up on back-to-school clothes, gear, and toys for all ages. See the schedule for pre-sale, public sale, and discount shopping times - plus head to the Dream Park nearby!

AND there are plenty more festivals -  the Literacy Network's 50th Anniversary Wednesday, and Saturday see the Eken Park, Africa Fest at McPike Park, the Agora Art fair in Fitchburg, then Outreach Magic Pride Sunday  - see our full calendar
