Every week, Macaroni KID Madison highlights free/low-cost ideas to do with kids in the Madison area. Click the links for all the details.
This week starts a spring story walk in Downtown Middleton, finishes the Flight of Lights, plus:
- UW's 175th Anniversary Celebration. Friday-Sunday, check out all the free community open house activities, including an alumni association open house Friday, science expeditions, and an athletics fun fair Sunday. And if you don't get at least some free ice cream you're probably missing something.
- Vote! Tuesday is our spring election. While presidential elections get the attention, county, city, school board, and more will make important decisions in our community. Bring the kids too - mine love the sticker.
- Wisconsin Film Fest - and we've got tickets to give away - enter here! The Wisconsin Film Fest has tons of features all over the area April 4-11, plus it's the 10th anniversary of the "Big Films, Little Folks" series of kid-friendly films.
- Lil Badger Consignment Sale. In Monona, with clothes, toys, and other gear - conveniently right next to the awesome dream park, close to "zip line" park, and across from the library) - the sale runs April 5-7, with presales for educators/healthcare Friday, new parents Saturday am, and a half-price sale Sunday.
- Wild Rumpus Circus. At the MyArts building Saturday or Sunday, the show features acrobats, aerialists, an all-slits marching band and more surprises.
And plan ahead for more spring consignment sales with Half-Pint Resale (April 19-21 - with a spring fling - including a bounce house, crafts, face painting, martial arts, and more for the 20th), and Just Between Friends May 9-11.
