Every week, Macaroni KID Madison shares our five picks for things to do with your kids in the Madison area. Click the links for all the details.

This week tickets are on sale for Disney Jr., GLEAM at Olbrich starts an hour earlier, and the World Dairy Expo comes to town, plus check out:

1. UW Homecoming. It's homecoming week, with a virtual scavenger hunt Wednesday, the parade on State Street Friday with floats, spirit squad - and of course, candy. Then there's the game and a family-friendly tailgate at Union South Saturday before the game. On Wisconsin!

2. Hispanic Heritage Month, Week 3. The Overture Center has a free exhibition and show features artists, music, and dancers Saturday evening.

3. Friday Fall Fests. It's the family night at the Verona Fall Fest with games, petting farm and more. If nature's your thing the Aldo Leopold fall fest has hikes, mystery, science, parades, and campfires. Or if you're up for strolling the shops, the First Friday on Monroe Street has discounts and specials along the way,

4. Fire Truck Parade. UW Homecoming is fun - but so is a parade full of fire trucks down State Street Sunday afternoon, and start your day with a family hike at the beautiful Indian Lake (with a snack and craft).

5. Library art. Area libraries are full of storytimes, and there are some special art opportunities like drop-in art Monday in Monona, the Bubbler Room downtown Thursday, and Leaf Magic at Lakeview Saturday.
