Love dance or want to introduce your child to the art of dance? Check out Monona Academy of Dance in Madison and Sun Prairie! Monona Academy of Dance has been bringing the joy of dance to south central Wisconsin for over 75 years. First opened by Jean Adams in 1948, the school is now run by her daughter, JoJean Retrum. This past June in the Monona Academy of Dance’s Recital, “Celebrating 75 Years” the academy’s youngest dancers performed the “Mickey Mouse March”, which was Ms. Adams’ first dance when her studio first opened [publisher note - my daughter was in this dance and had a fantastic time with classes and the show - everyone was very supportive and professional. She was inspired by the older kids who are really amazing dancers!]
Class registration is open for the upcoming academic year. The studio offers classes for ages 3 through 103 in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, and ballroom.
