Every week, Macaroni KID Madison shares our picks for five things to do with your kids in the Madison area. Click on the links for all the details. 

This week features all the July 4 festivities (see our guide), some underway and more celebrations continue through the weekend, including Madison's Art Fair on the Square, the Stoughton Fair and Fitchburg Festival of Speed. Plus:

1.  Concerts - second act! Concerts on the Square will re-start Wednesday THURSDAY with it's free kidzone) will get going, as will those at Harriet Park in Verona Thursday, and a live outdoor show at the Madison Children's Museum Friday, and the Kids from Wisconsin on Saturday have a free performing arts workshop, sensory-friendly afternoon show, and their 55th anniversary evening show.

2. First Fridays. On Monroe Street and Wingra Boats, this month features a movie, summer camp-themed activities (for grownups too), and other discounts.

3. Catch Fireflies. The 8th annual community firefly hike is Saturday at the beautiful Indian Lake County Park in Cross Plains.

4. Kids Day at the Market. The smoke cancled the night market last week, but this week the Sun Prairie Farmer's Market has a bunch of kids games, performers, and food Saturday.

5. Celebrate the for a cause! The environmental fun fair at the Lussier Center on Sunday has lots going on, plus Olin Park as a community festival/potluck for Open Doors for Refugees.
