Concerts on the Square has been a favorite destination for families and people of all ages for decades. Visit the Kids’ Area for free musical activities provided by WCO and partners before and during the concert. The Kids’ Area opens at 5pm on the corner of Pinckney St. and E. Washington Ave.
Join Henry Vilas Zoo to explore ecosystem dynamics and learn how every animal has an important place in their habitat with activities and biofact investigation stations. Zoo educators will be leading guided activities, like a musical animals game and an animal magnet craft to learn about how we can help animals around the world.
Madison Ballet invites you to step into the captivating world of ballet at the Concerts on the Square Kids Area! Immerse yourself in the rich history of this timeless art form through our interactive booth, where you'll discover the secrets of the 'dancer's toolbox'.
Suzuki Strings of Madison offers children of all ages musical instruction on the violin and viola using the Suzuki method. Join young violinists from Suzuki Strings in f Madison as they perform musical selections from the Suzuki repertoire, Music By Black Composers and other classical selections before the concert.
Children may explore child sized violins in an instrument petting zoo and engage in a conducting exercise with glow sticks we provide.
