Hijinks and tiny diners at Hilldale this summer

Hilldale is excited to welcome families for a series of fun events designed for young children!

Hilldale is hosting a series of events for kid this summer!

“Hilldale Hijinks” will be happening from 11:00am-12:00pm, on four Thursdays between June and August, on the Green. They feature a variety of fun activities focused on art, movement, science and music. 

  • July 27 has a sing-and-dance-along music class with various instruments, led by Creando Explorertorium
  • July 14 features Danielle Lee of Hoop Elation, teaching her hoop dancing skills to little ones. 
  • August 10 will be art focused, featuring an instructor from Madison’s Arts + Literature Laboratory.
  • August 24 is soapy science and bath bomb making with Lush

These events are best suited for kids ages 3-10, and are free and open to the public, however registration is appreciated. See the full list of Hilldale Hijinks and register here.

“Tiny Diners”  (5:00pm-7:00pm) is a family-friendly take on a “fine dining” experience. Parents can bring their children on a date night and enjoy a stress-free way to dine al fresco. Happening once monthly from July to September, from 5:00pm-7:00pm, families can pick up take out from any one of Hilldale’s great cafes and restaurants and enjoy it in the Plaza area near Bluemercury

  • July 12 – Strolling magic with James the Magician (5:30-6:30pm)
  • August 9 – To be announced
  • September 13 – “Boogie in the Barnyard” music show with John Duggleby (5:30pm-6:30pm)
