Every week, Macaroni KID Madison highlights free/low-cost (and NEVER sponsored, just our honestly curated favorite) ideas to do with kids in the Madison area in addition to the events and family-friendly ideas in our newsletter and on our calendar. This week check out:
- Pool time! The third time's the charm for the Goodman Pool's 20th Anniversary party Friday afternoon/evening, plus it's a dive-in movie night in Monona.
- Agora Art. The Agora Pavilion in Fitchburg is full of artists and hands-on art for kids Saturday. Bonus - kid artists can sell their own stuff at the kids market Sunday.
- Coffee, cheese, and Africa. Mid August has some unique festivals this Saturday, including Africa Fest at McPike Park, the Stoughton Coffee Break fest, and Curd Fest at Breese Stevens. All feature fun food and music options for all ages, plus kids activities and free admission!
- Lil' Badger Consignment Sale. It's a good time to get good deals on kids clothes, toys, and gear - and the Lil' Badger Sale in Monona is less chaotic and easier to navigate to get what you need - see times Friday-Sunday.
- Camp Aldo. Nearby - on Sunday evening check out Camp Aldo for free outdoor fun -
Make sure to check out, our ongoing summer fun, weekly live music around Madison and more family fun opportunities!
What did we miss? You can add events to our calendar (it's free!) and contact us about promoting your event or organization.
